Expert Panel Ranks Clarizen First in Project Management Software
SAN MATEO, CA. – May 12, 2010 The Software & Information Industry Association (SIIA) has named online-work-management software developer Clarizen the winner of the prestigious CODiE Award in the “Project Management” category. The announcement came at a special CODiE Awards luncheon held in conjunction with the All About the Cloud conference in San Francisco. Clarizen joined 33 other 2010 CODiE Award winners selected from a field of more than 785 nominees. Nominated products underwent an intensive review by subject matter experts, analysts, journalists, and others with deep experience in the field.
“This is the twenty‐fifth year we have recognized excellence in the software, education and information industries through the CODiE Awards program,” noted Ken Wasch, President of SIIA. “In this economic climate, companies are doing even more to innovate. Clarizen has demonstrated a commitment to innovation and quality that is reflected in their selection as a finalist for the CODiE Awards. I am pleased and proud to have them listed among the winners.”
Clarizen’s unique SaaS work-management solution gives organizations an easy way to manage projects and resources in a single online environment. Clarizen ensures quick and smooth user adoption with its intuitive user interface and integration with e-mail and popular workplace applications such as Google Docs and Zendesk.
“Business success is all about predictability and clarity. Clarizen goes beyond project management software by increasing visibility into an organization’s processes. We provide companies the tools they need to make the right decisions at the right time.”said Avinoam Nowogrodski, founder and CEO, Clarizen, “Our unique approach to real-time business execution is based on a strategy of winning the user first. We help users understand what they should be working on and give them the tools to do it, making Clarizen an indispensable tool for the user and the company. Once users are on board, the rest falls into place, and companies can systematically optimize and improve their resource utilization and time management and get real-time visibility into deliverables, status and budget use. It’s a different approach from traditional, top-down project management, and we’re delighted to have the SIAA recognize our efforts with the CODiE Award.”
Originally called the “Excellence in Software Awards,” the CODiEs were established in 1986 by the Software Publishers Association (SPA), which preceded the Software & Information Industry Association (SIIA). The program was created so that pioneers of the then-nascent software industry could evaluate and honor each other’s work. Since then, the CODiE Awards program has carried out the same purpose – to showcase the software and information industry’s finest products and services and to honor excellence in corporate achievement and philanthropic efforts.
A listing of winners is now available on the CODiE Awards Website at www.siia.net/CODiEs. To learn more about the CODiE Awards Program, contact Lisa Mitchell‐Brooks, at 202.789.4458.
