Kaufman’s hire is key addition to U.S. leadership and marks Clarizen’s rapid growth
San Mateo, Calif. – May 17, 2011 – Clarizen, the award-winning SAAS work execution software company, today announced that Joelle Kaufman has joined the company as Chief Marketing Officer. Kaufman’s hire adds executive-level oversight in North America and signifies the companies expanding group of US-based customers and intention to grow the company’s presence in the western hemisphere. Currently 80 percent of Clarizen’s 1,000-plus customers are based in the United States. Kaufman will work in the company’s U.S. headquarters located in San Mateo, Calif. and will manage global marketing, support national and global sales and convey U.S. market requirements to the Israeli product team. She is reporting directly to Clarizen’s CEO.

Kaufman brings a strong, results-driven background to Clarizen, with more than fifteen years of experience in corporate and product marketing, sales and business development. Previously, Kaufman was Senior Vice President of Marketing at Adify Corporation, the online advertising network acquired by Cox Enterprises for $300 million in 2008, now part of Cox Digital Solutions. Kaufman played an instrumental role in establishing Adify as a market and thought leader in online advertising industry and elevated Adify’s corporate profile leading up to and following the acquisition.
Before joining Adify, she served as Vice President of Marketing and Sales Development at Reactivity Inc., a provider of XML networking solutions that Cisco acquired in 2007. There she was responsible for all corporate, product and field marketing and directed the expansion of the company’s product line. Prior to that, Kaufman was the business manager of web services (SOA) strategy and products at RSA Security and formerly served as a Regional Sales Manager and Senior Product Manager at the company. Additionally, she has held management, channel, strategy and product marketing positions at Lifespire, NetDynamics (part of Sun Microsystems), Firefly Networks and Deloitte Consulting. Kaufman is also a member of the board of advisors at SocialShield and SkinnyScoop. She earned an MBA from Harvard Business School as a Baker Scholar and received a BA degree in organizational studies from the University of Michigan.
