SAN MATEO, Calif. – January 15, 2008 – Clarizen, provider of on-demand project collaboration software for businesses, announced the appointment of Guy Shani to Vice President of Sales. Shani is responsible for leading global sales, including channel development and strategic partnerships for Clarizen, which offers businesses Web-based software to manage and collaborate on an unlimited number of projects over the Internet.

Shani will call on more than 10 years of experience in sales, engineering and business development to help scale Clarizen’s already fast-growing customer roster. Officially launching the commercial version of its software in October 2007, Clarizen emerged from a four-month beta period with over 3,000 companies registered to use its software and over 100 paying customers to date.

Shani joined Clarizen from Eurotech Technology, Inc. where he served as CEO. Prior to Eurotech, Shani spent more than seven years at SmarTeam, Inc., a Dassault Systemes (DASTY) company, where he held several positions, including technical manager of Asia Pacific and director of Sales and Business Development in the US and South America. Before joining SmarTeam Shani worked as project manager at Elbit Ltd. Israel.
