Internationally Recognized ISO/IEC 27001:2013 Certification Recognizes Clarizen’s Practices for Compliance and Security
SAN MATEO, Calif. – January 28, 2016 – Clarizen, a global leader in collaborative work management software, today announced that it has received the ISO/IEC 27001:2013 security certification (ISO 27001), a globally recognized standard for certifying information security programs and processes. Clarizen’s ISO 27001 certification verifies that the company’s systematically managed approach to business information protection – including risk, governance and compliance – is on par with the world’s top cloud service providers. The formal ISO 27001 certification encompasses all of the company’s global data centers and business processes.
“Governance, risk, compliance and security are all key concerns for today’s enterprises. As a part of Clarizen’s technology vision, we continually implement and adhere to security-related best practices and processes,” said Meir Uziel, vice president of managed services, Clarizen. “This ISO certification underscores our ongoing commitment to our customers in delivering a world-class collaborative work management offering that meets global security best practices.”
Cross-company project management, configurable workflow automation and in-context collaboration are all key features of Clarizen’s collaborative work management solution benefiting project managers, IT teams, professional services organizations and marketers. Transparency within projects and among employees increases efficiency, accuracy and project quality. As executives, project managers and team members all access and share information – anytime and from anywhere – securing this data is paramount. The ISO 27001 designation certifies that Clarizen’s information security programs and processes protect company internal assets as well as those of customers.
The ISO 27001 security standard helps organizations initiate and maintain an information security management system (ISMS), a suite of activities managing information security risks. This ISMS is a management framework that includes policies, processes, and roles/responsibilities organizations use to manage and controlinformation security risks, confidentiality and data integrity. ISO 27001 covers all organization types – from commercial enterprises to non-profits – of all sizes within all industries.
Clarizen has worked extensively to achieve third-party security and privacy accreditation, and has also been validated by such organizations as the US Department of Commerce’s Safe Harbor program, SOC 2 type II, VeriSign, and Skyhigh’s CloudTrust program. Additional audits are frequently conducted by Clarizen, third-party researchers and customers.
