Create a New Project Wizard

- Select Project Source:
Choose whether you want to start with a blank project or use an existing template from your organization’s collection. - Set Project State:
Choose whether to start your project as a draft or as an active project. - Set Scheduling Policy:
Choose whether you want to start planning your project from a Start Date (ASAP scheduling policy) or from a Due Date (ALAP planning policy).
- Using a template to build your project will utilize your organization’s existing project knowledge-base and assist you in getting up and running quickly. Read more
- Use the Draft state in case you would like to start the project from the planning stage. Project team members can see the project, but do not receive notifications to take the actions. Active project is a project in execution. You can Activate the project or part of it later on when ready to publish the project to all team members for execution.
- Starting your project by setting your final Due Date first (ALAP) will enable you to see how early each task and milestone must be completed in order to finish the project by the desired end due date. The same can be done if you know exactly when you need to begin your project, and the system will show you how long it will take to complete by setting the Start Date first (ASAP). Read more
