Project Budget Management is an important part of project planning and execution. Managing a budget refers to managing project estimates, costs and revenues and includes the processes involved in planning/estimating costs and controlling costs so that the project can be completed within the approved budget.
Clarizen’s budget module enables you to define the options related to the system-wide budget for your project. Project cost and project revenue are calculated using different types of resource rates including cost and billing rates.
In addition Clarizen allows a Financial user to define project specific billing rates and prices used in the calculation of the project prices based on the time tracking reports.
Along with V4.5, Clarizen has added a new budget indicator that alerts financial users to the health of their projects. The budget indicators, similar to the scheduling indication, will alert users if their projects are on track, at risk or off track in terms of budgeting.
