New Features in Clarizen 5.0

Clarizen 4.5 expands with 3rd party integrations with Google Docs and your own calendar application. Moreover, we have added new functionality such as baseline support, new budget indicators, the ability to move items between projects and a much improved resource load. Last but not least, Clarizen 4.5 introduces many enhancements to issue management, formatting, search, etc.

New Subscription Structure

With Clarizen V5.0, we've rolled out a new subscription structure based on the unique functionality needs of your organization. Companies will now be able to chose the Professional or Enterprise Edition according to their requirements. We've also introduced a new license type for Time and Expense Users that will allow companies to purchase these limited licenses for a subset of their users.

Custom Fields

With the release of V5.0 you will be able to define any type of custom field that you need to any class: textual, pick list, dates, currencies, numeric, time effort, reference to other object and more. Each of these field types can be set to be manually entered by the user or based on a simple or an advanced formula.

Business Rules

Clarizen's Business Rules help you automate your business workflow and unify business methodologies by setting up triggers and rules that run automatically. Business rules can be created for every entity type within the organization including linked entites, and include both workflow rules and validation rules. Workflow rules allow you to define, for each entity type, a list of rules that can be triggered at every addition, modification or deletion of objects of that type. Validation Rules allow you to specify if your data is valid by defining a custom set of predefined rules.

AppsMarketplace

Clarizen's Business Rules are powerful workflow and validation rules that help you automate your business workflow structure and unify your organizations methodologies. Clarizen's AppsMarketplace gives you a full set of prepared and packaged, ready-made and pre-configured Business Rules that you can install directly into your Clarizen account. In addition to the pre-configured Apps, you have the ability to create your own sets of packaged validation and workflow rules to use within your organization. You can also decide to package and upload these Apps to the Clarizen AppsMarketplace for other Clarizen users to access and install. In the future, you will be able to control access to your App and even decide to charge money for access.

Individual Task Reporting

With V5.0, you will be able to set at a global level, project level or a single work item level and then report if the progress, actual effort or remaining efforts are globally reported or reported by each resource individually.

Social Network Login Capabilities

In V5.0 there is no longer a need to remember another username and password! With the new Login and registration, users will be able to access Clarizen with their Linkedin, Facebook, Yahoo or Google credentials.

Additional Features

In addition to the customization functionality in V5.0, we've also added some small but important additions to the application including Google iCal support, issue state normalization and enhancements to the custom column views.
