Introduction: First Step to Successful Collaboration
Before I start talking about Clarizen specifically, I feel like pointing out a few things that matter to me most. Having a Community on Clarizen’s website, which is well established, designed and most importantly alive, is not taken for granted in my field of work. Not at all. It is actually a great comfort to work for a company that understands the great added value of an Internet Presence and which allows real communication with its audience: customers and future customers or any others who share similar interests. It is only now that companies around the world are starting to grasp the growing need of online communities and are able to interact with the world that is out there watching them, every day, from behind the screen. As for Clarizen itself, I have to admit it: I was taken in with the idea and concept very easily. Having several fields of interests, writing about many topics on a regular basis, reading, thinking and sharing constantly is what defines me as who I am. I have worked and am still working with many different people on various topics and I find myself spending so many hours a month trying to somehow manage it all and have it in order. Managing my projects has always been my time-consuming no. 1 factor. It’s true. Being a control freak and loving having everything in order, named, filed and easy to find, use or share – I could only dream of software such as Clarizen. Especially when it comes to working and collaborating with others. I am fascinated by the thinking, the creativity and finesse in which everything is now in order. I can finally find my way around through way too many emails, task lists, Excel sheets, contacts, documents and so many sticky notes I can’t even remember writing. So, it’s practically a double pleasure – I got a great new job and a great new software which helps me, not only as a Clarizen employee but also as a person. I can now manage all of my work matters.
