Clarizen 4.0 with Custom Views now Live

Some of you readers have already seen the latest new features with Clarizen 4.0 but for those of you who have not, we encourage you to hop on the next webinar or sign into your free trial account.

The flagship feature of our latest release includes the ability to create custom views so that you can include in your Work Plan only the data that is required for your users. Say, for example, you want to see the Planned revenue of your project compared with the Actual revenue. Simply add these fields to your new view and make it available to your team.

Community: 2nd iPod Touch Awarded

We are pleased to announce our second winner of the iPod Touch for being an active Community member on our recently launched User Forums.

Christoph Thiede, from TEAM Italia, is one of the earliest Clarizen adopters in Europe and has always been an avid user, actively engaging our product team with product feedback and suggestions.

TEAM Italia is an Italy based company in the mega yacht sector, providing customized command bridge solutions. Since the company grew significantly over the last couple of years both in the number of projects and in their complexity, they required better communications and the ability to efficiently scale. Email and telephone traffic had sharply increased and it became impossible to be on top of everything related to a project. With this in mind, they sought out a centralized system that would allow setting up complex task processes while sending out reminders to users. The company spent over four weeks trying out about 20 so called groupware solutions, however, once trying out Clarizen, stopped their search being impressed not only by the product but the service provided, as Christoph was quoted:

"In addition to Clarizen's full and comprehensive functionality, the people at Clarizen had a major impact on our decision. They always treated us like an A-Client, even though we are relatively small."

Clarizen helps TEAM Italia improve project scheduling, keeping the multitude of tasks visible via reminder emails and an intuitive dashboard, which according to Christoph is crucial due to the rather informal way of working in Italy.

With the launch of Clarizen user forums, Christoph now has access not only to the internal Clarizen team but also to the hundreds of Clarizen users already actively engaged in the forums and sharing with each other ideas and best practices.

PM War Stories is a grassroots organization tying real life examples to the discipline of project management by producing a monthly online radio show that captures the voice of the PM community.
